Sergio Laccone, che il sottoscritto conosce da uno svariato numero di anni, e' un famoso musicista per i musicisti e un meno famoso musicista per il pubblico. Dappertutto, per noi appassionati di buona musica, Sergio e' un vero e proprio beniamino. Un eclettico talento che avendo evidentemente divorato una gran quantità di musica, succesivamente, la "rumina", la digerisce e la traduce in influenze che, se non foss un po' retorico, definirei quelle del "sole"; forse del sole della Puglia (fateci caso, tutti i paesi del mondo hanno un sole diverso...). Laccone, insomma, gioca con il folk, si intenerisce con le ballate, razzola in territorio napoletano (Napoli rimane pur sempre la grande capitale dell'Arte del Sud...), si affaccia verso la Giamaica, naviga verso l'altra sponda del mediterraneo e, infine, scopre che la lingua della sua terra, il barese in particolare e il pugliese in generale, può essere molto musicale senza per forza essere folkloristica. Questo album è una summa del variegato talento di Sergio: un disco da ascoltare e da riascoltare; che non ha niente a che fare con i prodotti "usa e getta" di molti artisti più famosi; un CD destinato a durare e a essere scoperto e riscoperto con ripetuti ascolti, come è capitato a me; forse a ...migliorare con l'invecchiamento come un buon vino. Il che, in tempi frivoli e superficiali, frettolosi e mercantili come quelli di oggi, non è assolutamente poco. Anzi è molto.

 Sergio Laccone, than the undersigned knows from a varied number of years, is a famous musician for the musicians and a less famous musician for the public. Everywhere, for all of us fans of good music, Sergio is a real favourite. An eclectic talent that after having evidently devoured a great amount of music, " ruminates" it, digests it, and translates it in infuences that, if it wasn't a little rhetorical, I would define "sunny" ; perhaps from the sun of  Puglia (pay attention, all the countries of the world have a different sun…). Laccone, in short, plays with the folk music, softens up with the ballads, scratches about in Neapolitan territory (after all Naples remains always the great capital of the Art of the South…), takes a look at Giamaica, sails towards the other side of the Mediterranean and, at last, discovers that the language of its homeland, the native dialect of Bari in particular and the "pugliese" in general , can be very musical without needing to be "folkloristical". This album is a summa of the variegated talent of Sergio: a record to be played and to be re-played; one that has nothing to do with the  " disposable" products of many of more famous artists; a CD destined to last and to be discovered and rediscovered listening to it repeatedly , as it has happened me; one perhaps to… improve with aging, like a good wine. Which, in frivolous and superficial times, hasty and merchant like today's , it is absolutely not a small thing. Indeed it is a lot.     (Renzo Arbore)
